THE PINEWOOD INTERNATIONAL SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL opened in April 1995 with a vision to set a standard of educational excellence in India as an institution whose ethos and practice is based upon human precepts. T.P.I.S.S.S. is a Centre of learning focused on effective teaching and student learning. Meaningful relationships are formed in an atmosphere of academic rigor and enthusiasm for excellence.
The School has been established as an educational institution dedicated to the academic and social well being of all students. It is a co-educational school serving to equip students for lifelong learning, and a place where we are committed to honoring human values in all that we do. The Principal and all staff are partners with students in this pursuit. It has achieved a great distinction in all respects within short span of time.
The school is spread in six acres of land. The school has its gorgeous building displaying a unique type of modern and medieval architecture consisting of 55 classrooms, smart classrooms, two activities halls, an Auditorium and a big and spacious library. The library is fully equipped with Modern Audio-Visual instruments of various disciplines. The school has its Computer Room having software computers and qualified staff is engaged to provide the basic applications for Computer Science. The school has its own permanent stage for co-curricular activities. Spacious grounds of every sport and athletics with gymnastics coaching is visible at the first glance. Well equipped Science Laboratories are provided in the school. The school has its own Generator set despite its Electric connection with the twenty four hour supply line. The school has its vehicles to bring the children from remote places. Fire safety equipments and Sanitary conditions are duly certified. The school campus is only 12 km from the central Bus Stand of Amritsar and about 14 km from the Amritsar Railway Station on the Batala road leading to Pathankot.
From earliest entry to the school at Nursery, we seek to teach and encourage students to reflect these values in all areas of their social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
